Job summary

Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to provide essential patient care on the 4th Med/Surg unit at FMC Main Campus. This 0.60 FTE position supports daily patient needs, vital signs, and post-operative care with a patient-focused team.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and prior nursing assistant experience; STNA preferred. Lifting and patient handling are part of the role, with a day shift schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care including bathing, feeding, skin and mouth care, and changing bed lines.
• Collects, documents, and reports vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height, weight).
• Empties patient drainage containers and maintains accurate intake/output records.
• Assists with pre-, intra-, and post-operative care including positioning and turning.
• Reports changes in patient condition or behavior.
• Assists with treatments and in maintaining supplies; reports malfunctioning equipment.
• Upholds HIPAA and confidentiality.

Job Description

• Reports changes observed in condition or behavior of patient.
• Assists with treatment procedures.
• Assists in maintaining supplies and reports malfunctioning equipment.
• Remains compliant with HIPAA, maintains professionalism and ensures confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred. STNA preferred.
• CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment.
• Nursing assistant experience preferred.

Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
