AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing teams on day shifts. You will assist in patient care, take vital signs, document in the electronic medical record, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Under supervision of licensed nurses, you will follow policies, participate in performance improvement, observe PPE and isolation guidelines, communicate with patients and families, and contribute to holistic care aligned with AdventHealth's

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic patient care skills and ability to follow policy.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in delivery of patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Accurately perform vital signs and document in EMR.
• Document and report procedures accurately per policy.
• Perform duties according to policy; participate in quality initiatives.
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines and proper PPE usage.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and health care team.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
• May perform point-of-care testing based on competency.
• Demonstrate AdventHealth core values in daily work.

Job Description: Full Time Days Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse. Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy. Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure. Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives. Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrade skills continuously. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff May perform point of care testing based on competency and hospital policy.
