AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in delivering patient care under the guidance of a licensed nurse. You will accurately perform vital signs and document in the electronic medical record, and ensure procedures are recorded per policy.

Responsibilities include following procedures, contributing to quality improvement, and responding appropriately in emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv (Required).
• 1+ applicable PCT experience (Preferred).
• BLS CPR certification is required.
• CNA/CPCT/A/EMT are preferred.

Job Description

Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse. Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy. Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure. Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.

Work Experience

1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
