Job summary

St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on the Med Surg Cardio Thoracic Unit under the supervision of the registered nurse. This Per-Diem night position requires weekend and rotating holiday coverage.

You will perform delegated clinical tasks, monitor patient vitals, assist with hygiene and mobility, document accurately, and respond to call lights. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification, with Per-Diem night

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Prior nursing assistant experience in acute hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform delegated patient care interventions.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, weight, and other data accurately.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients; prepare rooms and ensure IDs are correct.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and communicate with RN about patient status.
• Maintain infection control and safety procedures; support unit operations.
