Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join the Level 15 General Medical Unit at St Mary's Medical Center. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, contributing to safety and comfort.

This role requires 32 hours every two weeks, every other weekend, and rotating 8-hour shifts (6:00am, 2:00pm, 10:00pm). A hiring incentive up to $1,500 may apply.

Qualifications

• 6 months of nursing assistant experience.
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
• Enrollment into Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire.
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program.
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal hygiene care
• Assisting with nutritional needs
• Providing comfort care and other assistance
• Appropriately and safely transferring patients
• Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping
• Recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.
