Job summary

Garden City Hospital in Michigan is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry unit. This full-time night shift role supports daily living activities and provides basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

Responsibilities focus on maintaining a safe environment for non-critical patients and assisting in care delivery. Preference is given to applicants with a CNA certificate and current BLS, with prior acute care experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in Med Surg/Telemetry unit under supervision.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
