Job summary

Garden City Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry department to support daily patient care under RN supervision. This full-time, night-shift role focuses on assisting with activities of daily living and maintaining a safe environment.

Ideal candidates hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, have BLS current within 30 days, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least six months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• : The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
