Job summary

Saint Clare's Health, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Med Surg/Telemetry unit. This per diem role involves assisting with daily living activities and basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The ideal candidate holds a CNA certificate, BLS within 30 days, and has knowledge of medical terminology. Prior acute care experience is preferred. Shift is Days; compensation starts at $19.00 per hour with per diem status.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certificate upon hire.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physicians office preferred.

• Assists with activities of daily living and provided basic nursing care under supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment and supports the Registered Nurse in charge.
• Contributes to high-quality patient care in the Med Surg/Telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Pay Transparency

Saint Clare's Health offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $19.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
