The US Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care and assist licensed staff in a medical setting. You will support daily living activities and contribute to treatment plans for veterans with acute to chronic conditions.

Education and experience requirements vary by grade (GS-3 to GS-5). Applicants must meet citizenship, language, and basic nursing-related education or training standards and may be referred while meeting all qualifications.

Qualifications

• Six months of general experience or equivalent education/training related to nursing.
• Completion of an intensive, occupation-related NA training program may meet experience.
• English proficiency required for direct patient care per policy.

Responsabilités

• Provide activities of daily living and care per the patient care plan.
• Assist licensed nursing staff and care team in patient care.
• Observe patient status and report deviations to supervisor.
• Operate basic care equipment as directed.
