The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is recruiting two Nursing Assistants for the Community Living Center at the Charles George VAMC in Asheville, NC. This role provides direct patient care under RN supervision in a long-term care environment and supports families and staff.

The standard schedule features 8- and 12-hour day tours with weekend and holiday requirements. Applicants should be prepared to assist with basic nursing tasks, operate standard equipment, and report patient status

• Education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for federal employment.

Mansioni

• Assisting in the care of patients by supporting patient activities.
• Report changes in patient's condition to the registered nurse, as well as the patient's acceptance and response to nursing care.
• Operating equipment (Vital sign machines, EKGs, Bladder Scans, etc.).
• Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Perform procedures such as venipuncture, finger sticks, and wound dressings.
• Monitor and chart patient status and report any abnormal findings to the designated nurse or medical staff.
