Job summary

Blackhawk Technical College seeks a Nursing Assistant instructor to lead the Nursing Assistant program across campus and partner sites, including Monroe Campus and Green/Rock County locations. The role covers classroom, lab, and clinical instruction with on-site hours.

The incumbent will mentor other instructors, maintain records, stay current with industry needs, and participate in advisory committees and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Minimum of 2000 hours of experience in a long-term care facility as an RN.
• Approval by the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Program, Department of Health Services.
• Documentation of Train the Trainer Certificate or equivalent.
• Background Check.
• CPR certification for health care providers.
• Must meet Wisconsin Technical College System certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for Nursing Assistant program across classroom, lab and clinical settings.
• As primary instructor, mentor other instructors and program trainers.
• Maintain on-site office hours during clinical and classroom times; keep accurate records and reports.
• Engage in ongoing student learning assessment and assure instruction meets workplace expectations.
• Participate in advisory committee meetings and develop industry relationships.
• Update course syllabi and curricula in line with BTC guidelines.

Education

Registered Nurse license (RN)

BSN (preferred)

Train the Trainer Certificate or equivalent

American Heart Association CPR Certification
