Job summary

Tacoma Community College seeks an experienced Nursing Assistant instructor to deliver high-quality, on-site and online education. You will design active-learning activities, assess student competency, and coordinate with nursing faculty to align courses with program outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include WA-licensed RN or LPN and at least 2 years of healthcare teaching or patient-care experience. The position requires collaboration across departments and a commitment to equitable student

Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in WA.
Experience teaching or mentoring in nursing or caregiving courses.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality on-site and/or online instruction for Nursing Assistant courses.
Plan and implement active-learning strategies aligned with program outcomes.
Assess student learning using formative and summative methods.
Communicate course expectations, grading, and attendance clearly at course start.
Deliver instruction with inclusive teaching practices for diverse learners.
Guide students regarding course progress and program requirements.
continuously review and revise instructional methods and materials.
Collaborate with administrators and faculty to support program goals.
Utilize Canvas and instructional technologies to enhance teaching and assessment.
Participate in curriculum review, program development, and faculty meetings.
Evaluate student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
Engage with diverse students, colleagues, healthcare professionals, and community partners.
