Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our inpatient team. A Nursing Assistant provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a CNA, must be on the ND Health Nurse Aide Registry upon training/validation or within four months of employment.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with work eligibility or be a student nurse enrolled in a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing with 16 hours of clinical experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating while supporting emotional and spiritual needs.
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information.
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.

Qualifications

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.

If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.
