Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our inpatient team. You will provide patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, assisting with daily living activities and helping maintain a clean, safe unit.

This full-time role offers a starting wage of $18.00–$24.00 per hour with a $2,000 sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within a large, not-for-profit health

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a CNA, must be on the ND Nurse Aide Registry within 4 months.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs.
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy

Department Details

The Surgical Abdominal/ENT & Palliative Care Unit is located at the Marshfield Clinic, also called 4 North, in Marshfield Wisconsin and is a 25-bed unit with 4 additional Palliative Care designated beds. This unit admits and discharges patients for scheduled diagnostic procedures, tests and surgeries related to the abdomen and Ear Nose and Throat as well as complex wounds.

Work with all specialties such as: General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, wound care, Plastics, orthopedics, Palliative Medicine, hematology/oncology, nephrology, ENT, Gastroenterology, hospital medicine & Rehab, etc.

If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.
