Sanford Health’s Marsh Med Ctr in Marshfield, WI is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for inpatient care. You will provide patient-centered nursing care under RN/LPN supervision and support daily living activities for assigned patients.

As part of a dedicated team, you will help with vital signs, transfers, and unit documentation, while contributing to a compassionate, efficient clinical environment. Full-time position with a 12-hour day shift and 36 weekly hours.

Qualifications

• GED preferred, but not required.
• CNA preferred; maintains required competencies and certifications.
• North Dakota ND: must be on ND Nurse Aide Registry upon training or within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic health care assistance including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Record vital statistics and basic health information.
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient care.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste per standards.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our family in an inpatient setting. A Nursing Assistant provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and is essential to keeping the unit functioning smoothly. Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy

Qualifications

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.

If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.
