Job summary

Mercyhealth is hiring a Clinical Certified Nursing Assistant to provide hands-on patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role supports safety, comfort, and recovery and requires current CNA certification and CPR/BLS within 90 days.

The CNA will work 36 hours per week with variable shifts, float to units as needed, and participate in team performance improvements while training new partners and documenting care accurately.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CNA program.
• Current CNA certificate in applicable state.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills.
• Ability to work variable shifts and adapt to a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as assigned and per routine according to standards, shift routines, and policies.
• Answer call lights promptly and courteously.
• Document care provided per standards and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and assist with supplies.
• Floats to different units based on patient care needs and team priorities.
• Support training/precepting of new partners with unit educator.
• Assist with vital signs and report abnormal values to the RN.
