Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Nursing Department Assistant III for the Float Pool at Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland. You will support multiple departments in the patient care workflow, working evenings from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification through AHA or ARC within new hire period.
• Basic math skills and ability to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient activities of daily living.
• Perform EKGs, blood glucose monitoring and specimen collection.
• Transport patients and complete errands.
• Maintain supplies, equipment function and a safe, clean environment.
• Organize care assignments and seek RN/LPN assistance when needed.
• Document care provided in the patient record.
• Make hourly rounds and ensure bed alarms are active.
