Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant II for the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. The role supports the Medical-Surgical Unit with hands-on care, vital signs, and patient comfort, working a full-time night shift with every other weekend and some holidays.

Required is a High School Diploma or GED and an active American Heart Association BLS. CNA certification is preferred, with prior NA experience beneficial to integrate into our collaborative nursing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Previous nursing assistant experience or CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care.
• Take and monitor vital signs; perform EKGs and phlebotomy as needed.
• Document patient information in the electronic health record with confidentiality.
• Support RNs in care plans and patient safety; apply infection control protocols.
