Job summary

Independence Health System in Ohio seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on day and evening shifts. You will assist in the safe care of patients, help maintain efficient unit operations, and apply strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities include assisting with transitions between portable O2 and wall O2, and complying with CPR and clearances. Previous hospital experience is a plus, but entry level candidates meeting education requirements will be considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Nursing Assistant Training Program.
• Healthcare Provider CPR and Act 33/73 clearances required.

Job Summary

Assists in the safe care of the patient as directed. Assists in maintaining safe and efficient unit operations. Utilizes excellent customerservice skills. Permitted to change patients from portable O2 to wall O2.

Education

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Current enrollment or completion of a Nursing Assistant Training Program.

Registration/Certification/Licensure

• Healthcare Provider CPR and Act 33/73 clearances

Experience

• Minimum: None.
• Preferred: Previous experience working as a nursing assistant in an acute care facility.

Other Requirements

Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy. Completion of EKG training within 6 months of hire/transfer. Responsible to safely access,transport, and handle single dose medications to include prescription and non-prescription medications. Responsible to safely access,transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits, lancets, syringes, etc.
