Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist in safe patient care and maintain efficient unit operations. The role includes changing patients from portable O2 to wall O2 and supporting safe medication handling under supervision.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CPR and clearances, with preferred enrollment or completion of a Nursing Assistant Training Program and prior acute care experience. Shift rotations include day and night coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Current enrollment or completion of a Nursing Assistant Training Program.
• CPR and Act 33/73 clearances required.
• Minimum experience: None; preferred experience in an acute care nursing assistant role.
• EKG training to be completed within 6 months of hire/transfer.

• Safe access, transport and handling of medications (prescription and non-prescription).
