Job summary

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, North Carolina, is seeking a Nursing Assistant I to support patient care under RN/LPN supervision. This role performs basic care, prepares patients and equipment, records data, and helps with meals, hygiene, and comfort to improve outcomes.

Ideal candidates will complete a NC Nurse Aide I program or have NA I certification; BCLS must be maintained. This full-time position includes a signing bonus and opportunities to grow within a leading health

Qualifications

Completion of a Level I Nurse Aide education program approved by the NC Board of Nursing or successful completion of the NC-approved Nurse Aide I competency test.
BCLS certification must be maintained by the end of new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
Record patient data for medical records and inform RN/LPN of changes observed.
Administer basic care, assist with feeding, bathing, hygiene and comfort needs.
Assist with admission, discharge and transporting patients; document care in the EHR.
Follow infection control practices and maintain patient/family privacy.
