Job summary

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support RNs and LPNs, provide direct patient care, and help with unit coordination. The NA will practice asepsis, respect patient dignity and privacy, and maintain documentation in the electronic health record.

Pre-employment capacity testing may be required. This role requires completion of a NC Nurse Aide I program, with higher level NA II possible, and the ability to stand, walk, and assist with activities

Qualifications

• Completion of NC Board of Nursing approved Nurse Aide I education program.
• NA II education may be required for higher levels.
• Ability to document and communicate patient information using electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for procedures; provide manual assistance as needed.
• Record patient data for medical records and inform RN/LPN of changes.
• Administer basic care including bathing, feeding, mobility, and personal comfort.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transportation; maintain cleanliness and restock supplies.
