Job Summary

Geisinger is proud to offer a Nursing Assistant a $1500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, with a minimum hiring rate of $15.75, increased rates for experienced individuals, and up to $3 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts! We also offer up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse!

Job Duties

• Provide patient care within the nursing assistant scope of practice, following the multidisciplinary care plan.
• Observe, document, and report patient needs and changes in condition promptly.
• Obtain and maintain specimen integrity according to policy, and assist with activities of daily living.
• Provide patient safety watch as assigned, and assist with specimen processing and transport.
• Perform point of care testing and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
• Mentor new staff and students, and perform clerical duties related to patient care and unit operations.
• Coordinate transportation and communicate pertinent electronic information.
• Assist with supply ordering, dietary communication, and equipment maintenance.
• Transport medications and blood products as needed.

Position Details

• Full-time, evening/overnight position (36 hours/week)
• 3 shifts of 12 hours, 7 pm - 7:30 am
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
