Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa, is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of an RN, focusing on personal hygiene, nutrition, and activities of daily living. The position is Full Time – Days with a 12 Hour Day Shift.

Qualifications include geriatric aid certification and Iowa Nurse Aide registry active or eligible, or enrollment/completion of ADN/BSN related nursing courses; nursing assistant experience is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

The nurse assistant provides patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse. This care focuses on personal hygiene, nutritional needs and activities of daily living.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Completion of geriatric aid certification and State of Iowa Nurse Aide registry listing as "Active" or eligible.

OR

Currently enrolled in an A.D.N., B.S.N. program with successful completion of first semester of A.D.N. program, OR first year completion of nursing courses in BSN OR graduate of an A.D.N., Diploma, BSN or LPN program.

Experience:

Nursing Assistant experience preferred.

Special Skills and Competencies: Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs. Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual.
