Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Unity Campus Float Pool in Fridley, MN. This 0.9 FTE position supports day and night shifts on a 12‑hour schedule, averaging 36 hours per week, with every 3rd weekend.

The role operates under RN supervision to deliver essential patient care across units. Qualifications include CNA program completion or clinical rotations or Allina Health CNA Academy, plus current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or 17 with a HS diploma/GED.
• Completion of CNA program or clinical rotations or Allina Health CNA Academy.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross or in-house within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, deliver patient care including personal care such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Collect and document vital signs and health observations.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, positioning and ROM.
• Respond to call lights promptly and ensure patient comfort.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges and post‑mortem care as needed.
• Transport medications within the site and maintain patient safety.
