Job summary

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following requirements: six months of nursing assistant experience; completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program; enrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire; completion of a recognized nurse aide training program; current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or supervisor.
• Perform personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs.
• Transfer patients safely.
• Take and record vital signs and maintain accurate records.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to the RN.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment to promote healing.
