Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists, under direction of the RN, in providing basic patient care duties including taking vital signs, patient hygiene activities, feeding and bathing of patients, and ADLs.
• Administers basic treatments under RN supervision, including glucose monitoring and specimen collection as needed.
• Provides unit support by responding to call lights within 2–5 minutes, stocking supplies, and transporting patients.
• Assists in the transportation of patients and specimens, and delivers orders as needed.
