Job summary

Capitol View Transitional Care Center, part of HealthPartners, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a 0.8 FTE role (32 hours weekly) on a day shift with inclusion of every other weekend. The unit provides short-term care for patients 18+ with an average stay around 17 days, in a state-of-the-art transitional care setting located in Saint Paul, MN.

Qualifications include Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification and completion of a Nursing Assistant Course, plus attendance at orientation

Qualifications

• Must be on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry and maintain current certification.
• Completion of a Nursing Assistant Course.
• Attending HealthPartners Nursing Orientation in Bloomington on Tuesday and Wednesday 8am-4:30pm with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication by informing the nurse in charge of significant changes in a patient’s status.
• Provide direct services including scheduled showers/baths, water pass and nourishment, passing trays and assisting with feeding, recording intake and output, assisting with personal laundry, rounding on patients, charting, and room setup for new admissions.
• Answering calls lights promptly.
• Stocking supplies as needed (gloves, blankets, etc.).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
