Essentia Living Center in Fosston, Minnesota, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct care for residents in a long-term care setting. This 0.3 FTE role on the am shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm) includes every-other weekend and a holiday rotation, with generous weekend differentials.

Responsibilities include personal hygiene assistance, nutrition support, recognizing changes in resident condition and reporting to the shift nurse, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program with current state CNA registration, or obtain within 4 months of hire.
• Eligible to work in the United States; Minnesota nursing assistant eligibility required.

Job Description: Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to serve at Essentia Living Center, our long-term care facility located in Fosston, Minnesota. This CNA works an average of 12 hours weekly on the am shift, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Every other weekend and a holiday rotation are required. Generous weekend differentials are available.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for providing direct care to skilled nursing facility residents and for serving the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, within the scope of the nursing assistant role. Provides personal hygiene care, assists with providing for nutritional needs; recognizes and deals with the problems of the aging process, recognizes and promptly report changes in resident condition to shift nurse, and maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents. Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility. Maintains awareness of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner. Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective actions.
