Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient care considering age-specific needs
  • Provide morning care such as bed baths, oral hygiene, hair care, back care, linen changes, and room tidying
  • Assist with evening care including hand/face washing, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, linen changes, and room tidying
  • Prepare patients for meals, serve and remove trays, assist with feeding as needed
  • Respond to patient call lights, anticipate needs, and conduct rounds
  • Handle personal property of patients, including dentures, glasses, hearing aids, etc.
  • Report and record changes in patient condition or behavior and any incidents
  • Assist licensed nursing staff with treatment procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed nursing assistant training course
  • Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant
  • CPR/BCLS certification
  • Preferred: minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term care facility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
