What you will do in this role:

• Perform patient care responsibilities tailored to the patient’s age and needs
• Provide morning care, including bed baths, showers, oral hygiene, hair care, back care, changing linens, cleaning over bed tables and bedside stands, and room tidying
• Provide evening care, including face/wash, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, linen changes, and room tidying
• Prepare patients for meals, serve and remove trays, assist with feeding if necessary
• Respond to patient call lights, anticipate needs, and conduct rounds
• Assist with handling personal property such as dentures, glasses, hearing aids, and prosthetics
• Report and record changes in patient condition or behavior, and unusual incidents
• Assist licensed nurses with treatment procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Completion of a nursing assistant course
• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant
• CPR/BCLS Certification
• Minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term care facility preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
