Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support the Medical Unit, delivering direct patient care with compassion and professionalism.

Under supervision, you will assist with basic nursing tasks, ensure patient comfort, and help maintain a safe, clean environment during day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM), two 12-hour shifts weekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Post-high school specialized training preferred.
• Florida CNA license preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with basic nursing procedures.
• Support patient comfort measures and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Collaborate with nurses and other clinical staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate patient needs effectively.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director/Manager and RNs, the Nursing Assistant facilitates patient care by providing basic physical care and nursing procedures, assisting with patient comfort measures and helping maintain a clean, safe and organized care environment.

• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM | Two 12-hour shifts per week
• Status: Part-Time | 24 hours/week
• Role Focus: Direct patient care, basic physical care, comfort measures and maintaining a safe and organized patient environment
