Job summary

UF Health Spanish Plains Hospital in Central Florida is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support the Medical Unit. You will assist with direct patient care, basic physical tasks, and comfort measures while helping maintain a safe, organized environment during day shifts.

Under RN supervision, you will collaborate with nurses and clinical staff to ensure compassionate care throughout the hospital stay. English proficiency is required; CNA license is preferred and BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Post-high school specialized training preferred.
• Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred.
• BLS required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director/Manager and RNs, the Nursing Assistant facilitates patient care by providing basic physical care and nursing procedures, assisting with patient comfort measures and helping maintain a clean, safe and organized care environment.

Work Information

• Department: Medical Unit
• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM | Two 12-hour shifts per week
• Status: Part-Time | 24 hours/week
• Role Focus: Direct patient care, basic physical care, comfort measures and maintaining a safe and organized patient environment

Join our Medical Unit team and work alongside nurses and other clinical professionals to provide compassionate, hands-on care and support to patients throughout their hospital stay.
