Weekly Hours: 40.00
Salary Range: 21.00 - 25.00
Pay Info: $5,000 Sign on Available, Relocation Reimbursement Available

40-hour work week. $5.00 differential offered on top of any other differentials for working all shifts that are needed. Must be flexible for all shifts.

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as a caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Delivers age-appropriate care related to residents' physical and psychological needs as per care plan. Follows infection prevention and control policies and uses Personal Protective Equipment. Assists with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, psychosocial support, and personal care. Aids in transferring, repositioning, walking, and providing range of motion and passive exercises. Supports food preparation and dining, assists residents with meals, and provides water and supplements as needed.

Assists providers and nursing staff with procedures, documents resident interactions, and communicates changes in condition. Collects non-invasive specimens and vital signs. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas. Supports wellness and recreational programs and encourages resident participation. May participate in departmental committees as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Must have or be in the process of obtaining CNA certification through the State Board of Nursing within four months of employment. Certification and training are provided by the facility. Must complete yearly competency testing and maintain continuing education credits (minimum 12 hours annually). Must be registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry if applicable. Depending on responsibilities, may require a valid driver’s license and medical qualification to perform driving duties as per Sanford Driving Policy.
