The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to residents in a long-term care setting, working under the supervision of a registered nurse. Provides daily living assistance and basic health care in a Christian, not-for-profit environment.

Maintains infection prevention practices and uses PPE as required. Provides support with transfers and mobility, and assists with routine tasks to ensure resident comfort and safety.

Qualificações

• 3 months experience in Long Term Care required.
• 6 months preferred

Department Details

• Premium Pay Rates:
• $7/hour premium on all hours worked.
• $1.25/hour weekend shift differential

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan. Considered a member of the nursing team and is expected to know, and will be held accountable for, following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.
