Job summary

Pullman Regional Hospital is actively seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver professional nursing care and coordinate patient care in alignment with hospital policies and the unit scope of practice.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within the patient population served. Typical mornings; Washington CNA licensure and BLS required; EPIC EMR experience preferred. A supportive, community-focused hospital environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant licensure, in good standing, in the State of Washington.
• Active BLS (basic life support) certification.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for a certified nursing assistant.
• Demonstrates the ability to perform the required technical skills for specific department.
• Demonstrates the ability to learn, apply, and individualize new patient care skills and uses new equipment safely.
• Initiates and participates in activities that enhance daily operations of the unit and organization.
• EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of professional nursing care with the goal of safe and effective patient care.
• Gathers information to assist the Registered Nurse in developing a patient care delivery plan based on current and future patient needs.
• Makes decisions based upon appropriate stewardship and professional judgment, to carry out an effective plan of care for each individual patient.
• Collaborates to promote a therapeutic relationship with patients and colleagues and maintains a professional attitude.
• Actively promotes and contributes to a positive work environment and encourages equitable division of workload.
• Stays accountable with changes in professional areas and hospital policy.
• Completes regulatory and departmental annual competencies within the timeframe set by the organization.
• Demonstrates work effectiveness through safe completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner and uses appropriate delegation to assist in patient care.
• Follows high-reliability practices set by the organization and report safety concerns.
• Actively participates in quality improvement projects throughout the organization in order to support a safe work environment.

Job description

Pay Range:

The base pay range for this position is $20.40-$30.94 Hourly however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Position Overview:

The Certified Nursing Assistant is a clinical partner who implements and coordinates patient care specific to the patient population served. Ensures that quality care is provided in an effective and safe manner consistent with the hospital’s policies and procedures and within the scope of the practice established by the State of Washington.
