Job summary

UF Health Central Florida is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Float Pool to support patients and nursing teams across multiple units. This is a full-time position (36 hours/week) with day shifts in the hospital.

Under the direction of RNs, you will provide basic physical care, assist with comfort measures, and keep the patient environment clean and safe. English proficiency is required; Florida CNA license is preferred and BLS is required; two years of acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Florida CNA license preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Under the direction of the Director/Manager and Registered Nurses, the Nursing Assistant Float Pool supports patient care by providing basic physical care and nursing procedures, assisting with patient comfort measures, and maintaining a clean, safe and organized patient environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Post-high school specialized training preferred

Licensure & Certification

• Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license preferred
• Preferred: Two (2) years of recent acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• BLS required

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
