Description

At Saint Francis Hospital, the Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.

What You Will Do

• Collect and report patient information and data
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility, and ambulation
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• Monitor at-risk patients to ensure safety as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing or Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed, or significant previous healthcare-related experience
• Proof with college transcript required or substantial nurse assistant/healthcare experience
• BLS certification required
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check
