Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff by taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene and elimination, and keeping the unit clean and safe. You will help stock supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed, and perform routine clerical tasks as assigned.

Candidates should understand basic medical terminology, have English proficiency, and be able to work variable shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to read, write and speak English effectively.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) or enrolled in accredited nursing program with at least 1 clinical semester.
• Demonstrates effective therapeutic communication.
• Experience with patient care, preferably in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities
