US Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Dayton VA Medical Center to provide Veteran/resident care and support in acute care settings. The role involves performing basic nursing tasks under supervision, assisting with a range of clinical duties, and contributing to care plans and patient comfort.

Applicants with six months of general experience or related education are eligible; higher grades require additional education and KSAs.

Formación

• Six months of general experience or education or training.
• English language proficiency per VA Handbook 5005.
• KSAs: provide range of patient care, observe and report deviations, use equipment, communicate with patients and health professionals.
• Ability to mentor or precept new NAs as part of nursing care team ( GS-5 ).

Responsabilidades

• Provide Veteran/resident care and comfort in clinical settings.
• Perform basic clinical and technical nursing tasks under supervision.
• Assist in outpatient, home or community care as part of the care team.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness and document observations as required.
