Job summary

Butler Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on the 6T Ortho unit. You will assist in safe patient care, help maintain efficient unit operations, and provide excellent customer service. This role includes transitioning patients from portable oxygen to wall oxygen as needed.

Minimum education is a High School Diploma; Nursing Assistant training is preferred. CPR and state clearances are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current enrollment or completion of a Nursing Assistant training program preferred.
  • Healthcare Provider CPR certification and Act 33/73 clearances required.
  • No prior nursing assistant experience required; preferred in acute care.

Job Summary

Education

Preferred: Previous experience working as a nursing assistant in an acute care facility.

Other Requirements

Comprehensive Crisis Management per policy. Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle single dose medications to includeprescription and non-prescription medications. Responsible to safely access, transport, and handle sharps, such as needles, suture kits,lancets, syringes, etc.
