Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 2F Step-Down ICU. This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) offers the chance to support patient care under the nurse's supervision. The 16-bed unit focuses on septic and respiratory patients.

You will assist with delegated patient care and routine non-patient tasks as part of an on-shift team. Required: BLS, prior NA experience; HS diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred.

Qualificações

• BLS for Healthcare Provider is required.
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience is required.
• High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.

Job Duties:

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant who under general supervision and according to established procedures functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.

About the Unit:

The Step-Down ICU, also known as 2F, is a 16-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. While the unit specializes in septic and respiratory compromised (COPD, PNA, Respiratory Failure) patients, there are also a variety of diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis, AMS, etc. Nursing Assistants will provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population. 2F is a great place for Nursing Assistants to cultivate and expand their skills. Due to the proximity and collaboration with the ICU, 2F is commonly utilized as a progressive steppingstone for Nursing Assistants to build a foundation of skills needed to be successful in the ICU.

Qualifications:

• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience required.
• High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
