Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, patient-centered care on the Medical Unit. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, vital signs, nutrition, and documentation under the Registered Nurse, contributing to safe, high-quality care in a night-rotational schedule.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certification (or within 90 days), and CNA credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs) under the RN supervision to support comfort, dignity and safety.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration, including opening containers, cutting food, or feeding as directed by the RN.
• Accurately measure and record vital signs and intake/output in the electronic health record, communicating changes to the RN.
• Support safe mobility, ambulation, positioning, and transfers to promote comfort and prevent complications.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient care environment, respond to call lights, and ensure rooms/supplies support a positive experience.
• Document patient care activities per unit guidelines with clear handoffs; perform Unit Secretary/clerical duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely patient flow and unit coordination.
