United Health Services (UHS) is seeking a dedicated Activities Specialist to design and implement the Therapeutic Leisure Activity Program for residents across the campus. This role focuses on enriching social, physical, and psychosocial well-being in late adult and elderly populations.

Position OverviewTo contribute to the design and implementation of the Therapeutic Leisure Activity Program which provides offerings to meet the social, physical, and psychosocial needs of the various populations on the campus.Primary Department, Division, or Unit:Activities, UHS Senior Living at IdealPrimary Work Shift:DayRegular Scheduled Weekly Hours:36Compensation Range:$15.61 - $23.45 per hour, depending on experience-Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:One-year experienceWork EnvironmentMoves intermittently throughout the day; 70% of time indoors, 30% outdoors. Sits 10% of day, walks short distances 50%, stands 30%. Occasionally twists, stoops, squats, bends, climbs stairs, and reaches above, at, or below shoulder height. Occasionally lifts and transfers residents weighing on an average of 150 pounds with or without assistance. Frequently pushes wheelchair residents up to 250 pounds, 350 feet.
