Crouse Health in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Nursing Assistant to perform daily care activities under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. The role supports patient goals through routine tasks, measurements of vitals, and compassionate communication.

Rotating schedule with shift differentials on evenings, nights and weekends. Requirements include high school diploma, at least one year of patient care experience or RN program coursework, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have one year of patient care experience, or is currently attending an accredited Registered Nursing program and has successfully completed the fundamentals of nursing coursework.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire date.

Responsabilités

• Assists the patient with daily care activities including but not limited to bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulating, personal hygiene and taking of vital signs.
• Supports and actively contributes to the achievement of the patient's goals associated with the plan of care.
• Individualizes communication based on the needs of the patients and families.
