Job summary

Emerald Nursing & Rehab Cozad in Cozad, NE, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the DON in delivering high-quality nursing care. This full-time role oversees clinical practices, staff supervision, assessments, and regulatory readiness.

The ADON will coordinate care plans, supervise RNs/LPNs/CNAs, and participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives to ensure resident well-being and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Nebraska (or multi-state).
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in a long-term care or skilled facility.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required; Gerontology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical oversight: assist DON in planning and evaluating nursing practices and ensuring high-quality resident care.
• Staff management: supervise RNs, LPNs, and CNAs; assist in recruitment and training; foster team collaboration.
• Resident care: ensure care plans are followed and address resident/family concerns; participate in care conferences.
• Regulatory compliance: stay updated on regulations; prepare for inspections and address issues promptly.
• Quality improvement: implement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and facility performance.
• Administrative duties: maintain nursing policies, documentation, and coordinate across departments.
