Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to support inpatient units with flexible scheduling in a major South Florida hospital.

The role emphasizes clinical supervision, patient care coordination and emergency response within a dynamic care environment. Required licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida, BLS and ACLS certification, and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• License/Registration/Certification: Registered Nurse current licensure with State of Florida.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• Workplace Violence Program completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• exercises discretion to interpret, enforce and support philosophies, policies and procedures.
• Provides administrative and clinical supervision to others and evaluates care.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates with department heads; Oversees Code Blue and other emergencies.
• Collaborates with Nursing Administration to develop goals and attend management programs.
• Assists with patient admissions, transfers and discharges; ensures bed management in EPIC EMR.
• Maintains safe, clean environment and supports continual growth and development of personnel.
