Job summary
Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Nursing Administrator to lead the nursing department in a complex long-term care facility. The role focuses on policymaking, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care.
You will collaborate with a management team to ensure staffing, training, safety, and infection control while preparing for surveys and ongoing QA efforts. Strong leadership and NYS licensure are required.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility and minimum 2 years in nursing administration/management.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Communicate policies to nursing staff and monitor adherence.
- Participate in daily/weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status and staffing.
- Perform rounds to ensure delivery of services, staffing, cleanliness and safety.
- Oversee CNA certification program and supervision of students.
- Review 24-hour reports and monitor for changes in condition or incidents.
- Monitor nursing schedules to meet resident and facility needs.
- Participate in recruitment and selection of nursing personnel.
- Ensure OSHA compliance and promote workplace safety.
