Job summary

Regency Integrated Health Services in Houston, TX, seeks an experienced nursing administrator to assist the Director of Nurses in planning, organizing and directing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department in a skilled nursing facility.

This role emphasizes staff recruitment, scheduling, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a RN program at an accredited vocational schools, college, or university
• Must possess a current Texas RN Licensure.
• Must have experience working in a skilled nursing facility for at least 3 years
• Preferred to possess a current RUG certification

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
• Coordinate with attending physician and medical director regarding resident care issues as needed.
• Manage staffing needs, recruitment, hiring and training of nursing service personnel.
• Develop work assignments and schedules; supervise staff to ensure tasks are completed.
• Participate in developing and maintaining the facility’s quality assurance program.
• Review resident clinical records and consultant reports; assist with plans of corrections as needed.
• Participate in the facility’s nursing on-call schedule and other duties as assigned.
