Job summary

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Nursing Admin Supervisor to lead administrative activities in the absence of the administrator and to ensure high-quality patient care.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to support nursing services and patient outcomes on a daily basis. The role requires 3-5+ years of acute care RN experience, leadership experience, NY RN license with BLS, and BSN; MSN or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Passion for Nursing Leadership.
• 3-5+ years acute care clinical RN experience.
• 3-5+ years leadership/healthcare management experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and staffing patterns.
• New York RN License & Registration and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for all administrative activities in the absence of the Administrator on hospital premises.
• Motivate and encourage self-direction of care team members to participate fully in the mission and goals of Catholic Health.
• Ensure and maintain adequate and competent levels of patient care in all areas of operation.
• Collaborate with the Vice President for Patient Services in facilitating nursing care.
• Provide excellent supervisory and communication skills necessary for coordinating staff activities and interpreting operating policies and procedures for staff.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, RNs, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years acute care clinical RN experience.
• 3-5+ years leadership/healthcare management experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements, and establishment of staffing patterns and schedules.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
• Masters of Nursing (MSN) or relevant field required (within agreed upon time period).
• New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Salary Range

USD $65.15 - USD $81.44 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
